BRIGHT FUTURE AHEAD
The First Black Super Model Who Paved the Way for Others
There was a time when African American models were never featured on mainstream magazines such as Vogue and other major publications.
Donyale Luna, was the first African American supermodel to be published in British Vogue in 1966 and has had so much influence and recognition that opened the door for other super models of African descent such as, Imani, Beverly Johnson and many others.
GFASH is so proud of the many models we’ve worked with over the years who continue to follow their dreams just like Donyale in this industry! Keep shooting for the stars, never give up and open some new doors.
